How to get there
Welcome to Northern Ontario’s largest solar-powered strawbale facility, located on 310 acres of boreal forest. The Nolalu Eco Centre is a place for learning, relaxing, and meeting inspiring people – all connected to “living lightly” on this fragile planet.

We aim to provide accessible, practical information by offering workshops, house tours and different learning experiences in a special location with good company and some good food. All workshops have a big hands-on component, making it a first-person experience.
So if you’re just curious about what a solar-powered strawbale house looks and feels like – come have a look and book a house tour.
If you’re thinking about investing in some solar panels for your cottage or house – sign up for one of our workshops.
If you’re dreaming of a special get-away at a very special place – come book a room with us.
And if you’re eager to meet like-minded folks with similar interests and concerns as yours – do all of the above!
To book a tour of the Eco Centre, please contact us for a date. A tour takes about 1 ½ hour, and includes coffee/tea and muffins; admission is $ 4.00 p/person, groups of 5 and more are $ 3.00 p/person.
Looking forward to see you soon.
